About

I built this because nobody else would do it right.

Karli, founder of Bleed

The origin story

I tried every period tracker on the App Store. Every single one either sold my data to advertisers, locked basic features behind a paywall, or turned a simple tracker into a fertility clinic I didn't ask for.

I'm not trying to conceive. I'm not tracking 40 symptoms. I just want to know when my period is coming so I can plan my life. That's it.

So I built one. From scratch. No investors. No board. No one telling me to add features or monetize your data. Just a period tracker that does exactly what it should and nothing more.

I called it Bleed because that's what it is. No euphemisms. No pink butterflies. No “feminine wellness.” You bleed. The app tracks it. Done.

Why “The Period Dealer”

Because I deal in period knowledge. The stuff nobody tells you. The research that gets buried. The data that gets sold behind your back.

I read the papers. I track the studies. I translate the science into language that doesn't require a medical degree to understand. Then I put it where you can actually find it.

The Period Dealer is the friend who always knows something about your body that you didn't. The one you text at midnight when Google gives you nothing useful.

The research

Beyond the app, I write about what the research actually says. Ovarian aging. Cycle length patterns. What your period is trying to tell you. All sourced. All verified. No fearmongering.

The goal is simple: give you information that's accurate, accessible, and actually useful. Then let you decide what to do with it.

The business model

Free. Tip jar. That's it.

No investors. No venture capital. No growth targets. No one sitting in a boardroom deciding which of your features gets locked behind a paywall this quarter.

I built Bleed alone. I fund it with tips from people who use it and want to say thanks. I answer to you, not shareholders.

If that model breaks someday, I'll tell you. But right now it works, and I don't see a reason to complicate it.

Karli built it for you.
