Got questions? Good.
Here are the ones I get asked the most.
Privacy & Data
On your phone. Exclusively. Bleed doesn't have servers that store your period data. There's no cloud sync, no account, no backup on our end. Your cycle data lives in your phone's local storage and nowhere else.
No. I physically cannot access your period data. It never leaves your device. There's no analytics, no telemetry, no usage tracking. I built the app this way on purpose.
Your data goes with it. Since everything is stored locally on your phone, deleting the app deletes your data. If you want to keep a copy, export it first (Settings > Export Data).
No. I don't have your data. If someone showed up with a warrant, I'd have nothing to hand over. Your period data exists only on your phone. I built it that way on purpose.
The app: no. This website: no cookies, no analytics, no tracking scripts. We don't even have a cookie banner because there are no cookies to consent to.
The App
Yes. Every feature is free. No premium tier, no subscription, no paywalled features. There's a tip jar if you want to support development, but the full app is free forever.
No. You download the app and start tracking immediately. No email, no password, no sign-up flow. Open it and go.
Not yet. Bleed is iOS only right now. Android is something I'm considering, but I'd rather do one platform well than two platforms poorly.
Bleed uses your logged cycle history to predict when your next period will start. The more cycles you log, the more accurate it gets. All the prediction math happens on your device — no server calls.
No. Bleed is a period tracker, not a fertility app. It tracks when your period starts and ends, shows your cycle length, and predicts your next period. That's it. If you need fertility tracking, use a dedicated fertility app.
Support & Business
Open Bleed > Settings > Export Data. You'll get a CSV file with your full cycle history. Share it with your doctor, save it to your Files app, or email it to yourself.
Email info@mybleed.io. I read every message and reply within 48 hours. It's just me, so be patient — but I will get back to you.
Tips. That's it. No investors, no advertising revenue, no data sales. People who use the app and find it valuable can leave a tip. That covers development costs. If that ever changes, I'll tell you.
You can email me. I won't promise to build everything that's requested — keeping Bleed simple is the whole point. But I read every suggestion and I do listen.
That's the plan. Everything in the app right now will always be free. If I ever add something optional that costs money, it won't be a feature that exists today behind a paywall. What's free now stays free.
