Terms of Service

Last updated: 6 September 2026

Plain-Language Summary

By using Bleed, you agree to track your health on your own terms. The app is free, has no ads, and no account. Everything you log stays on your phone. On iPhone, setup offers a choice: import your existing cycle data from Apple Health, or start fresh with a clean slate. The import, if you choose it, is a one-time read on your device. On Android there is no import, because the app doesn't connect to Health Connect or anything like it. We can't see anything you log and we can't recover it if you lose your phone, so back up your data using the export feature in Settings. If you switch in-app messages on, we may send you the occasional message, and you can choose to reply or send us feedback; if you do, only the response is stored, never who sent it. Messages are off unless you turn them on, and you can turn them off again at any time. Support is optional, has nothing locked behind it, and is processed through your app store, Apple or Google Play, and RevenueCat, so we don't see your payment details. The app is for personal tracking, not medical advice, so talk to a doctor for that. You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling.

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and PERIOD DEALER LTD, registered at 123 Promenade, Second Floor, Cheltenham, England, GL50 1NW, company number 16173056 (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By downloading, installing, or using the Bleed mobile application (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, available at Privacy Policy.

Which version these Terms cover. These Terms apply to Bleed on both iPhone and Android. Almost everything below is identical on either platform. Where the two genuinely differ, because Apple and Google provide different app stores, payment systems, and health platforms, the paragraph is marked iOS only or Android only. Anything not marked applies to both.

2. Eligibility

The App is intended for users aged 18 and over. By using the App, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. The App does not collect identifying information and we cannot independently verify age. If you are under 18, do not use the App.

3. Description of the App

Bleed is a free, offline-first period tracking application. The App allows you to log cycle data, symptoms, intimacy, notes, and personal information on your device. The App has no advertising, no analytics, no behavioural tracking, and no data collection beyond the limited interactions described in Section 5.

The App is free to use. There are no paid tiers, no subscriptions, and no premium features. There is nothing locked behind any payment or contribution. This will not change.

4. No Account

The App does not require registration. You do not need to provide an email, name, phone number, or any other identifier to use any feature of the App. There is no log-in screen and no sign-up flow.

5. Data and Privacy

a) On-device data. Your cycle data, symptoms, intimacy log, notes, predictions, and any data you import from Apple Health on iOS is stored on your device only. We do not have access to it and cannot retrieve it.

b) Apple Health (iOS only). During setup, you have a choice: import your existing cycle data from Apple Health, or start fresh with a clean slate. The import, if you choose it, is a one-time read performed on your device. The App does not continuously pull data from Apple Health in the background. The data is never transmitted to us. You can decline the import, and you can review Apple Health permissions at any time through iOS Settings.

On Android, the App does not integrate with Health Connect or any other operating-system health platform, and does not read health data from anywhere outside the App. There is no import step.

c) Limited interactions with our server. If you have switched in-app messages on, the App periodically checks whether a message is waiting. It also accepts optional responses and feedback. None of these interactions include your name, email, or any identifier we can attribute to you. If you have messages switched off, the App does not check at all. See Sections 7 and 8 below.

Full details of how we handle information are set out in our Privacy Policy.

6. Data Backup and Recovery

You are solely responsible for backing up your data. The App provides a data export feature in Settings that lets you download your data as a JSON file. You can upload this file back into the App to restore your data.

We have no ability to recover your data if your device is lost, stolen, damaged, reset, or wiped. We accept no liability for data loss resulting from device failure, operating system updates, theft, loss, or failure to maintain backups.

7. In-App Messages and Optional Responses

In-app messages are optional. When you first set up the App you choose whether to receive them, and you can change that choice at any time in Settings. If you have them switched off, the App does not check our server for messages and you will not receive any.

If you have them switched on, from time to time we may send you in-app messages: occasional updates from the founder, product news, or research notes. Every message is the same for everyone who has messages switched on; nothing is personalised or targeted, because we hold nothing about you to target with. Some messages may invite a response, such as a like, a dislike, a rating, or a short text reply.

Replying is entirely optional. If you choose to reply, only the content of your response is stored. We do not capture, attach, or infer who sent it. We will use these responses to inform product decisions.

The App also includes an optional feedback form. If you choose to submit feedback, only the text you submit is stored. No identifier is captured.

Because submissions are anonymous by design, we cannot retrieve, edit, or selectively delete an individual response or feedback submission on request.

8. Support (Optional Contributions)

If you wish to support the App, you can choose to make an optional in-app contribution. Supporting Bleed is voluntary. It does not unlock features, remove anything, or change how the App behaves in any way. There is no premium tier, ever.

Support payments are processed as in-app purchases by the store you installed the App from, Apple on iOS or Google Play on Android, and facilitated by RevenueCat, a third-party payment platform. By choosing to support the App, you also agree to the terms of that store and of RevenueCat:

We do not receive or store your payment card, billing address, name, or email. Refunds are handled by the store that processed the payment. On iOS, follow Apple's standard refund process at Report a Problem on Apple. On Android, follow Google Play's at Google Play refunds. You can also contact us at info@mybleed.io for guidance.
